Group Coaching

Let us take you step-by-step through the college application process

Our 5-week program will help your student complete their college application using the Common Application or the Coalition Application. 

Keys to College (K2C) workshops consist of evening or weekend weekly group meetings, required homework between meetings, and weekly 20-minute one-on-one advising with Jen or Gina. K2C will have a community Facebook group monitored by Jen and Gina to answer questions from participants and for participants to share their success and challenges with one other. We know that forming a supportive group of peers and parents help families feel connected and motivated to work through the college application process. 

Additionally, K2C will be available to answer individual family and student questions via email during the week. Your family can expect five weeks of comprehensive programming that consists of your student:

  • Creating a list of 7-10 colleges that fit your student's academic initiatives, personal interests, and career goals

  • Completing a Common Application or Coalition Application Essay: choosing a topic, brainstorming, editing and proofreading, and sharing something meaningful about your student that enhances their application. Each student will benefit from Jen and Gina's admissions experience and receive individualized support designed to insure the final essay represents them

  • Completing the Activities List: Learning what to include, how to explain what they did during high school to make the most impact, and why what they include is so critical to the application

  • Understanding whether to take the SAT/ACT and whether to share those scores

  • Reviewing their transcript to see if they need to address performance gaps in their application

  • Learning how and when to share a their learning difference, if applicable

  • Communicating with specific colleges and college admissions counselors to get their individual questions answered in a confidential forum
